Founder and Director: Offered wine tastings, wine pairings, classes, and wine dinners, many of which sold out. Our wine classes were done in conjunction with the Wasatch Academy of Wine, Utah’s oldest and largest wine school. Created and assisted with wine lists for several local restaurants.
The Cedar City Wine Club was the first wine club in this small Southern Utah mountain town. We brought the opportunity for many local people to enjoy wine, learn about it, and be open about it. Utah is a very strict control state, but both consistent press coverage including front page and inside stories enabled us to enroll over 300 wine-loving members in this alcohol-challenged region of Southern Utah.

Webmaster for http://www.morrellwine.com: Developed Morrell’s web strategy, highlighting wine education as well as ecommerce. Created the website in partnership with web host Evocative, Inc. This new website immediately produced sales in excess of 30% over the previous site. Increased customer loyalty by providing excellent customer service and support, including wine recommendations, replacements, and problem resolution.
Offered recommendations, suggestions and wine and food pairings to in-store customers based on their preferred styles and budget. Made purchasing decisions based on tastings, price-points and salability of offered items. Wrote tasting notes for the catalogs and the weekly email newsletter.
